This series engages the tortilla press, or tortiadora, as both object and symbol—rooted in Mexican heritage yet reimagined through the lens of contemporary art. By elevating this everyday kitchen tool beyond its utilitarian function, the works honor traditions of labor and domestic culture while also serving as personal journals. Through these transformed objects, the series reflects on memory, resilience, and the celebration of female identity.
